When is the election?
The elections to the city council will take place on Saturday 14 May
Opening hours for polling stations are from 9:00 - 22:00.

Elections are held in several places in Reykjavík

Early voting
Early voting Elections are held in Holtagarðar, on the 2nd floor.
Open every day from
at 10:00 –22:00.
Who can vote?
You can vote if you

Have reached 18 years of age

You are an Icelandic citizen
-
You are a citizen of the Nordic countries
Foreign citizens have the right to vote if they have been registered in Iceland for 3 consecutive years.
Remember to bring your ID!
